Jenny is a one-to-one private tutor based in Fordingbridge, in the New Forest. She has many years of classroom teaching experience in local schools and she has taught across the primary age range (Key Stage 1 and 2).

Jenny is now offering one–to–one online lessons for 11+, key stage 1 and key stage 2 pupils. She can offer support to pupils struggling with work set by their school, give extension work or provide a more structured approach to an aspect of Maths or English. Online lessons give children who are isolated at home an opportunity to have some continuity and structure in their home schooling. The children enjoy the face to face interaction and support and challenge that Jenny provides.  Online tuition also takes a little pressure off parents who are juggling the demands of home schooling their children and working from home.

Teaching and tutoring children is Jenny’s passion, she loves seeing a child master new skills, grow in confidence and enjoy their learning.

Jenny can offer a bespoke private tutoring service to match the needs of your child, providing either support or extension. Whether you need a Maths Tutor, an English Tutor or an 11 plus Tutor, Jenny can help. If both Maths and English skills are needed she can alternate weekly between the two subjects or offer both in one lesson. 

As a mother of three Jenny can draw on her own experience as both a parent and a teacher to steer you through the education system.

During her teaching career she has taught children with a variety of needs including mild cerebral palsy, developmental delay, epilepsy, dyslexia, OCD, anxiety and visual impairment etc.  Jenny has also worked as a Special Educational Needs Officer within a local authority so she can appreciate the difficulties that parents may face.

Tutoring can either take place at Jenny's home in Fordingbridge or at your location within a 30 minute radius of Fordingbridge.
